The Des Moines Girl Gang is a supportive, creative community of self-identified women. We exist to empower and inspire professional and personal development. All programs, social media accounts and events are organized by a small group of volunteer core group members. Please note that we are working constantly to keep our programs 'on-mission' while still allowing members to make the group their own. The DSM Girl Gang has always been, and will always be, a work in progress.

We use the term “Girl” and “Self-Identified Woman” because we believe they encompass many definitions. The DSM Girl Gang recognizes the oppression of women throughout history (check out these STATS) and we exist because there is a need for women to connect and empower each other in all communities. Our focus is to build a safe, inclusive, creative community for self-identified women while encouraging everyone to explore their own personal expression of gender-identity. Bottom line: you are WELCOME and you are ENOUGH! Please reach out to us if you have any questions.
